iWork ‘08, the latest version of Apple’s office suite for its Mac line of computers, was announced in August. At that time, I didn’t actually own a Macintosh, but now I do. My copy of iWork ‘08 arrived yesterday, and I’ve had a bit of time to play with it and compare it to my experiences with Microsoft Office and OpenOffice.org.
The packaging is very attractive, logical and - dare I say it - a joy to open? It’s neat, isn’t oversized, isn’t surrounded by a giant cardboard box, is easy to get in to, and doesn’t need a logistics management company to open.

Thanks to the wonderful people at Amazon.co.uk, we’ve now got our own little shop! It’s not much, but I’ll try to add to it over time. And the idea behind it is that when I start my incoherent screaming about how wonderful x book was, you can see what all the fuss is about and decide for yourself.
But, just to do some housekeeping, this will NOT, in any way, affect this blog’s stance as far as technology goes. I’ll be including most things I review or talk about in the shop, regardless of whether or not they’re any good, or even vaguely relevant.
And either way, no blog is complete without a little shop. Well, in my opinion anyway.
